The voice of a loved one, a favorite song, rain hitting the roof – hearing is an integral part of how we experience life’s joys. However, many people don’t see the value in taking the necessary steps to preserve their hearing health.

The Synchrony Hearing Health & Loss Prevention Study revealed that many consumers simply don’t consider audiology care a normal part of their routine healthcare, and fail to see its value and understand the impact of hearing loss. In fact, despite an increase in hearing loss diagnoses in young adults, these generations are more likely to view hearing loss as a “later problem.” With this research, Synchrony provides a new depth of understanding. The study helped uncover why people of all ages don’t pursue preventative hearing care and provides key insights into what could motivate them to do more.

The Synchrony Hearing Health & Loss Prevention Study closely examines consumers’ attitudes toward preventative audiology care, providing insights and takeaways you can use to help encourage them to take action early so they can hear the things they love, longer.

The study includes

  • Generational perceptions of hearing
  • Attitudes toward preventive care
  • Challenges in normalizing audiology care
  • Reinforcing the importance of hearing health
  • Role of financing in the acceptance of care
  • Actionable takeaway
  • Methodology and demographics
