Body wraps are a type of spa treatment that can help your skin look and feel radiant, and even smooth out cellulite. During a body wrap treatment, a spa beautician (aesthetician) will often first apply an herbal paste, mineral-rich mud or soothing cream to your arms, legs, and torso. Once you’re lathered, you’ll be wrapped neck to toes with cotton mylar bandages or plastic film, which can help lift dirt, toxins and excess water from your skin.1

Are There Different Types of Body Wrap Treatments?

Yes, there are a wide variety of body wraps available at spas today that can help you focus on specific areas of concern.2 Some of the most popular include:

  • Chocolate body wrap treatments – Cocoa-rich creams infuse your skin with moisture while helping with detoxification and signs of aging.
  • Algae body wrap treatments - A concentration of vitamin-rich algae that can detoxify your skin.
  • Cellulite body wrap treatments - Designed to increase circulation and flush out toxins from the body.

Are There Different Types of Body Wrap Treatments?

On average, a body wrap costs between $100 - $200 for a 60-minute treatment.1 However, because there is such a wide variety, costs can range between $25-$275 depending on the type of lotions and wrap used. 3

Does Insurance Cover a Body Wrap Treatment?

Generally, no, health insurance doesn’t cover the cost of a body wrap treatment. Elective, cosmetic or spa treatments (like body wraps) may not be covered by health insurance plans.

How Can I Pay for a Body Wrap Treatment?

If you are looking to pay for a body wrap treatment there are several payment options that you can consider.

  • Out of pocket: If you have the funds readily available, you can simply pay for the service at the time of treatment.
  • General purpose credit card: If you don’t have the money to pay out of pocket, almost all providers accept general purpose credit cards.
  • CareCredit credit card: If you’re looking for a way to pay over time, CareCredit’s network of providers may be an option for you. See additional details below.

Can I Use My Carecredit Credit Card to Pay for a Body Wrap Treatment?

Yes. The CareCredit credit card is a great way to get the spa services you want immediately while paying over time with convenient payments that help fit your budget. If approved, you can use your CareCredit credit card at locations within the CareCredit network to finance your body wrap treatments (and many other spa services and treatments!)*

The benefit of using a CareCredit credit card is the opportunity to use promotional financing.* You can use your CareCredit card again and again to pay for other health and wellness needs. Use the Acceptance Locator or download the CareCredit Mobile App to find a spa services provider near you who accepts the CareCredit credit card.
