CareCredit (CC): Where Can EMSCULPT NEO® Be Used?

Dr. Soleiman: EMSCULPT NEO can be used nearly all over the body to tighten and tone including:

  • Abdomen
  • Waist
  • Inner and outer thighs
  • Legs including the hamstrings, quadriceps and calves
  • Arms including the bicep and triceps
  • Buttock

EMSCULPT NEO® cannot be used on the chest.

CC: What to Expect During an EMSCULPT NEO® Session

Dr. Soleiman: During an EMSCULPT NEO session, clothing is removed from the treatment area, the EMSCULPT NEO paddles are applied and the patient lies on the table during the 30-minute treatment.

CC: Is EMSCULPT NEO® Painful?

Dr. Soleiman: No. During an EMSCULPT NEO session, your muscles will get warm and contract repeatedly during the treatment, but the procedure is not painful.

Even though your muscles have gone through a workout, you likely won't feel sore the next day either thanks to the machine's pattern of contractions that are designed to alleviate next-day discomfort.

CC: How Many EMSCULPT NEO® Sessions Are Needed to See Results?

Dr. Soleiman: Each EMSCULPT NEO session is 30 minutes. I recommend one treatment per muscle group a week for four weeks. Although individual results may vary, studies have shown that four treatments can increase muscle mass by 30% and reduce fat by 25%.

While some immediate results may be seen, most patients will notice changes within two to three months.

CC: How Long Do EMSCULPT NEO® Results Last?

Dr. Soleiman: The fat loss and tightening from the radiofrequency can last an estimated two years. To maintain the muscle contouring results, patients will need to continue regular workouts or EMSCULPT NEO maintenance sessions.

CC: Is EMSCULPT NEO® Safe?

Dr. Soleiman: Yes. EMSCULPT NEO is a non-invasive procedure and safe for men and women with a BMI up to 35.

CC: What is the Difference Between EMSCULPT NEO® and CoolSculpting®?

Dr. Soleiman: CoolSculpting freezes fat cells which then die and are eliminated from the body. EMSCULPT NEO heats and then exercises the muscle which allows the exercise to be more efficient and effective.

CC: How Much Does EMSCULPT NEO® Cost?

Dr. Soleiman: EMSCULPT NEO costs around $1,000 per visit though prices may vary by provider and geographic location. Some providers may offer specials or package deals at a lower rate.
