Alexa and Jaco's Emergency Veterinary Care Story

Jaco is Alexa's canine best friend, who she rescued from a box full of puppies that a woman on the street had discarded. After three years together, these two were inseparable but when Jaco stopped eating and unable to urinate, Alexa knew that he required immediate veterinary care.

Because it was three o'clock in the morning, her only option was to take Jaco to an emergency veterinarian. The vet was able to determine that Jaco had a stomach infection caused by gallstones and needed surgery urgently to save his life. Unfortunately, the surgery was going to cost $4,000 and the vet needed 75% of that sum upfront.

That's when Alexa applied for the CareCredit credit card and was instantly approved, allowing her to start using the card right away and give the vet the go-ahead for Jaco's surgery. Not only would the card help pay for Jaco's surgery, but also the cost of his four post-surgery medications and post care.

Alexa was grateful to have Jaco back to his old self and plans to use her CareCredit credit card in the future should another emergency arise. She even recommended it to her mother to pay for both human health and veterinary emergencies.
